A PHOTOGRAPHY competition designed to get young people interested in thinking creatively about their surroundings has been launched by Richmond Rotary Club.
All students from the Richmond, Swaledale and Catterick areas aged seven to 17 by August 31 are invited to take part in the Young Photographer competition on the theme One Moment in Time. The competition was launched this week at Richmond Methodist School with students and staff from schools in the area. Entries to be in by May 27, and the Richmondshire Museum will provide a gallery for the display in early June.
Robert Carey, president of Richmond Rotary Club, said: "I am grateful to Rotarians and local sponsors for their support and delighted at the number of schools and clubs that have welcomed the opportunity." Email joshuddleston@yahoo.co.uk.
