POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information after a spate of shed and outbuilding burglaries in Osmotherley.

At least three sheds were attacked in the incidents – and one resulted in the theft of items worth some £2,000.

The incidents all took place between 4pm on Tuesday, December 6, and 7am on the following day.

Police are requesting local residents’ assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding these incidents and in particular want to know about any suspicious vehicles or people seen in or around the village that night.

Residents are also being asked to check their sheds and outbuildings – and secure any valuables that might be inside.

Anyone with information that could help is asked to contact police on 101, select option two and ask for Andy Grainge or email andy.grainge@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
