A CHARITY has donated almost £20,000 to the British Lung Foundation (BLF) to help it run support groups for people in the North-East.

The Morrisons Foundation made the donation of £19,620 to help Breathe Easy support groups, which are held at least once a month to give people living with lung disease the chance to talk and learn about the condition.

Mike McKevitt, head of patient services at BLF said: “We are hugely grateful to the Morrisons Foundation for helping us to raise the funds needed to keep nine of our Breathe Easy Groups in the North East going.

“This donation will really help make a difference and enable them to continue to provide enriching events and support for people with lung conditions.”
