POLICE are appealing for people who may have heard screaming, shouting or arguments between a man and a woman at Loggerheads Yard in Whitby.

North Yorkshire Police are asking for any witnesses and information about a domestic incident that took place in a holiday cottage on the street. They are asking anyone who heard screaming or shouting from Baxtergate, Station Square or Loggerheads Yard between Thursday, September 15 and Saturday, September 17 to get in touch.

The incident involved two people arguing loudly over three days in the property.

Officers say residents or shoppers in the area may have heard the ongoing argument and are asking for the public’s help in finding out the circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, they want to hear from anyone who heard the loud arguments and any details of what was shouted during the argument.
