THIRSK Rotary Club has presented awards to primary school leavers for their outstanding contributions, achievements or support of other pupils.
Members of the club attended 12 schools in and around the town to present Endeavour Awards to pupils in Year 6 who had been selected by the school teaching staff.
The unique scheme was established in 1987 for three primary schools in Thirsk and Sowerby, but has been extended to include all the primary schools which form the catchment for Thirsk School and Sixth Form College.
Each winner received an engraved small shield, a certificate of achievement and a book voucher.
The winners included: Alanbrooke, Nicholas Waqatairewa; All Saints, Millie Devaney; Baldersby St James, Hannah Clark; Carlton Miniott, Saraya Johnson; Dishforth, George White; Knayton, Toby Crawford; Pickhill, Abigail Hastings; South Kilvington, Tilly Law; Sowerby, Millie Frost; Thirsk, Hollie Pallatina; Topcliffe, Millie Billett; Sessay, Olivia Anderson.
