TODDLERS let their imagination run wild as they watched their future hopes and dreams soar through the sky.
The bright blue sky above Borough Road Nursery became a sea of colour as children set of balloons to mark their final day on Wednesday.
The youngsters will go to primary school in September and teachers wanted to do something special to mark the milestone.
Delighted little ones shouted with excitement as they let go of their special balloon one by one.
Before releasing them, they talked about what they wanted to be when they grew up.
Future firefighters, police officers, doctors, nurses and teachers joined astronauts and stuntmen and women.
Head teacher Julia Thompson said: “Every child released a balloon to signify their soaring hopes and dreams for the future.
“We wish them all well in their new school and their future lives. May they go on to do great things.”
