A RECYCLING centre in Teesdale is temporarily closing next month for essential resurfacing works.
Middleton-in-Teesdale Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) will close for about five days from Monday, August 8 to Friday, August 12.
The site is expected to return to normal opening hours, between 9am and 6pm on Saturday, August 13.
During the temporary closure, residents can use other HWRC’s including those at Stainton Grove, near Barnard Castle, and Romanway, in Tindale Crescent, Bishop Auckland.
Residents taking items in a van, trailer, pick-up or minibus should apply for a free permit before visiting any HWRC.
Permits issued for the Middleton site during the closure can be used at other HWRCs.
To apply or for more information on HWRCs visit durham.gov.uk/hwrc or call 03000-261000.
