MOTORISTS have been warned the A167 Darlington Road, north of Northallerton, will be closed overnight for a week for resurfacing work.
The work will take place from Monday, (June 27) between 6pm and 6am each day and will involve the closure between those times of the A167 from Northallerton Rigg to Crowfoot Lane.
An official diversion will be in place via the B6271 and B1263.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times and traffic management operatives will be on site to help with any specific access requirements.
North Yorkshire County Councillor Don Mackenzie said: “This essential resurfacing is part of the county council’s commitment to maintaining the county’s road network.
"We will keep disruption to a minimum by carrying out the work in the evening and overnight. "However, even though the road will be open during the daytime we urge drivers to take extra care while the works are under way.”
