A HEALTH and wellbeing festival will be held in Barnard Castle, County Durham, on June 18.

The event is the second of its kind for the town and will be hosted at the TCR Hub.

Organisers say this year is bigger and better with options for children as well as adults to experience some of the holistic therapies provided by well experienced practitioners from around the Teesdale area.

The festival brings information for the local community as well as an opportunity to try out some of the treatments through workshops and treatments on the day.

This year's festival is centred around children during the morning with workshops that cover a journey to discover their power animal, tai chi and learning about sound.

Then in the afternoon the sessions cater for adults with similar workshops to the children as well as the opportunity to learn about hypnotherapy, reiki, acupuncture, yoga and more.

As well as the workshops, there will be other practitioners available demonstrating their expertise plus information as to how to get involved in creative projects and supporting your local community.

Tickets are £5 for adults and children under 16 years are free. Doors open at 11.30am and the festival is due to finish at 5.30pm.

Workshop places are limited. To pre-book call the Hub on 01833-690150.
