A STRIKING collection of more than 65 photographic images go on display at Middleton Hall Retirement Village, near Darlington, this weekend capturing the true essence of the Dales.

The Middleton Hall Photography group, set up by the residents in 2013, all with the common desire to develop or learn a new skill, are hosting their fourth exhibition, ‘Around the Dales’.

This year’s exhibition portrays and celebrates real ‘Dales Life’, through the sheep farming lands of Swaledale, to majestic Teesdale and the captivating way of life in Wensleydale.

To fully appreciate Dales life, visitors can finish the tour by tasting the best of local Dales beers and cheeses in The Orangery.

Keith Rowland, volunteer tutor at Middleton Hall said: “The photography group has worked really hard to pull this exhibition together and we look forward to welcoming the local community to enjoy the Dales images we have captured.”

The Exhibition will take place on Saturday, May 21 from 2pm to 5pm.

Entry is free and all our welcome. All photographs will be available to purchase.
