THE appeal to buy an MRI scanner for the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton has received a £700 boost.
The local Tuesday Art Group, which regularly meets at Romanby Women’s Institute, held an exhibition of their work, with a flora and fauna theme, to raise the cash.
The chair, Paula Robinson, said: “We all really enjoyed producing the artwork for our exhibition and everyone worked really hard to produce the art on show.
“We chose the Friarage as it is our local hospital, a cause close to all our hearts and one which we all might need at some time.”
The chair of the Friends of the Friarage, Dr Upendra Somasundram, said: “The lovely artwork is a pleasure to see and we are very grateful to the group’s members for the generous donation for the scanner appeal.”
