WITH Valentine’s Day fast approaching dog rescuers are hoping to act as matchmakers for the animals in their care.
The Jerry Green Dog Rescue Centre at Catton, near Thirsk, is renewing its campaign to find the perfect forever home for its canine guests.
And top of the list of eligible dogs is an eight-year old lurcher, Cooper, who arrived in October 2015.
“Cooper is your typical lovely, silly, sleepy lurcher who loves to cuddle,” said support officer Emma Cook.
“He is housetrained, walks well on the lead and loves to be around people. He is an absolute treasure and when his forever home does come along, they’ll wonder why they waited to so long to meet such a fantastic dog.”
