ONE of the oldest Young Farmers’ clubs in the country held a charity ball to celebrate its 85th anniversary.
With 142 people in attendance at the event at The Northern Echo Arena, Stockton Young Farmers’ enjoyed a night to remember while raising money for Cash 4 Kidz with a variety of games and raffles.
In total the club raised £838 for its own coffers and a further £335 for charity at the black tie event which was attended by past, present and future members ranging from ten through to their late 70s.
Club chairman Caroline Baker said: “We were really pleased with the number of people who attended; there was a lovely atmosphere all night. We were really excited with the mix of people and the age range of those who attended. It was really good to see a lot of former members as well as the next generation in the making.
“It was successful night all round and it was a good way to celebrate our 85th anniversary.”
