A TEENAGE girl is suffering from shock after being sexually assaulted while walking at dusk along one of North Yorkshire's busiest roads.

North Yorkshire Police has issued an e-fit image of a man they want to interview in connection with the attack on the A170 Thirsk to Scarborough Road.

The victim, who is in her early teens, reported that she was groped by an unknown man as she walked along Sutton Road, in Thirsk, at 6.10pm on Tuesday, October 20.

Officers have been unable to locate the suspect, despite extensive enquiries.

To assist the investigation, the victim has worked with the police to produce an e-fit of the suspect which has been circulated in the media and on social media.

The man is described as white, aged in his 40s, about 5ft 5in tall, chubby build, bald head with some hair at sides and he was wearing glasses.

He was wearing a beige hooded jacket, green t-shirt and “scruffy” denim jeans.
