ROB ELLIOT has been passed fit to take his place in the starting line-up for Newcastle United's lunch-time kick-off at Bournemouth.
As expected, Elliot's thigh injury has improved sufficiently for him to retain his starting spot as Newcastle look to claim their first away win since January.
With Daryl Janmaat also having shaken off the knock he sustained in last week's goalless draw with Stoke City, Magpies head coach Steve McClaren has named an unchanged starting line-up on the south coast.
Aleksandar Mitrovic will continue as a lone centre-forward, with Vurnon Anita partnering Cheick Tiote at the base of midfield.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has made two changes to the side that lost against Southampton last weekend, with Junior Stanislas and Josh King both coming into the team.
BOURNEMOUTH (4-4-1-1): Federici; Smith, Francis, Distin, Daniels; Ritchie, Gosling, Surman, Arter; Stanislas; King.
Subs: Boruc (gk), Cook, Rantie, MacDonald, Kermorgant, Tomlin, Bennett.
NEWCASTLE (4-2-3-1): Elliot; Janmaat, Mbemba, Coloccini, Dummett; Anita, Tiote; Sissoko, Perez, Wijnaldum; Mitrovic.
