MORE than £13,000 was raised at a Roaring 20s Ball organised by the charity My Sisters Place.
The event, staged in conjunction with The Brand Chain, saw 170 guests turn out in their finery at Wynyard Hall.
Guests enjoyed an incredible evening of entertainment with Red Shoes School of Dance providing dancing between courses, Storm band providing both 20s music on their grand piano and then great floor fillers with their six-piece band. Tables were also treated to the wonders of close hand magician Paul Lyttten. A casino was also a feature of the evening.
Auctions and a raffle were compered by BBC Tees preseenter Lisa McCormick.
My Sisters Place was set up in 2002 and is an independent specialist ‘one stop shop’ for women aged 16 or over who have experienced or are experiencing domestic violence.
A spokeswoman for the event said: "We raised in excess of £13,000 that will go towards meeting the rising demand for specialist services in Middlesbrough.
"The night was a huge success and thanks go to the businesses of Teesside that so generously donated prizes and the businesses and individuals that supported us on the night."
