A CHARITY golf tournament that attracted almost two dozen teams from around the region is set to raise tens of thousands for charity.

The 14th annual Heritage Healthcare golf event saw teams tee off at the Blackwell Grange Golf Club, in Darlington, to raise around £12,000 for St Teresa’s Hospice.

As well as a golf tournament, the event also featured a charity auction and prize draw, with prizes donated by a range of local businesses.

Since their first event, the company has raised more than £160,000 for the charity, which provides end of life care for people across Darlington, County Durham and North Yorkshire.

Heritage Healthcare director and event organiser Sally Pickersgill said: “We are really pleased that so many local businesses and people have supported the event again.

“Everybody has had a lovely time, the weather has stayed nice and the course is in excellent condition.”
