A PUB landlord is holding a beer, cider and cheese festival to celebrate the first anniversary of his time at the community-owned inn.
Stuart Miller, who runs the George and Dragon Inn, Hudswell, near Richmond, will hold the festival from Saturday, August 29 to Sunday, August 30, and will showcase local ales, ciders and cheese.
In the first year of his tenancy Mr Miller has offered 104 different ales from small, local breweries alongside more mainstream beers and has gained a reputation for his menu of homemade pies, roasts and ever-changing specials.
The festival will be open from 11am to 11pm, Saturday and Sunday and there will be a range of local Yorkshire ales, Yorkshire ciders, platters of Yorkshire cheeses selected to match the drinks and a barbecue. There will be quoits, games for children, music and a tombola.
Mr Miller said: "We will not be serving our popular menus over this weekend but there will be lots to eat, either our cheese platters or homemade burgers, hot dogs, barbecue ribs, and even some grilled Yorkshire halloumi cheese."
