A CYCLING legend was on hand to launch a mini festival to celebrate the sport.

The Flying Scotsman, Graeme Obree, the British ex world record holder and world champion cyclist, was at Go Outdoors in Stockton on Saturday to inspire people to take up the sport.

And the store was showcasing its own range of specially designed Calibre bikes as part of the fun packed day.

The top cyclist said: “It’s great to see so many people taking up the sport and to have a superstore like GO Outdoors where, no

matter your level of experience, you can find the equipment that suits your needs.”

The company's head of cycling, Barry Dunn, added: “We have always provided a huge range of bikes and equipment for cyclists of all levels and now with the increased investment into our cycling departments across the country that range has expanded further."
