PLEASE could Christopher Bourne-Arton (D&S Times, June 26) tell me and the families involved how the destruction by sheep of headstones and floral tributes on lovingly tended graves in Well churchyard be considered an “excellent job”?
Further to Mr Bourne-Arton’s letter, could I note that the relatives are distraught and rightly aggrieved, not just 'unhappy' at this arrangement as he suggests.
Finally, as for the insinuation that the aggrieved families do nothing but complain, I couldn't think of a more out of touch and hurtful thing to say.
We are working very hard to resolve the matter without much help, understanding or care from the parish council nor the parochial church council, and definitely not from Mr Bourne-Arton.
Mark Libera, Catterick Garrison.
