A WALKING group has hit on a winning combination for its summer programme - by organising warm evening walks which end in a pub.
Northallerton Ramblers has organised a range of four to six mile walks each Tuesday evening throughout the summer, which all end with a meal in a local pub.
The group says it is an ideal opportunity for people to try out walking with the benefit of a guide. They will start from a range of places in the Hambleton area and the nearby North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales.
They will take in locations including Brompton, Ravensworth and Coxwold. Later in summer there will be walks from Finghall, Bedale, Ampleforth Akebar, Pickhill and Moulton.
The group also runs longer daytime walks during the week.
