THE highly-acclaimed show Judy - The Songbook of Judy Garland will no longer be coming to Darlington due to the star of the show’s imminent treatment for breast cancer.
The production will end its UK tour earlier than scheduled due to the illness of leading lady Lorna Luft who will return to her American homeland to undergo extensive surgery.
Anyone who has booked tickets for the Darlington dates will be offered a ticket swap for the production of Puttin’ On The Ritz which runs from Sunday 11 to Tuesday, October 13.
Puttin’ On The Ritz is currently touring the UK and will star Strictly Come Dancing favourites Anya Garnis and Robin Windsor when it comes to Darlington.
For every ticket swap, £5 will be pledged to a major breast cancer charity.
Everyone who has booked tickets for Judy - The Songbook of Judy Garland will be contacted personally by Darlington Civic Theatre with full details of how to arrange a ticket swap or receive a full refund.
