THE talented Saxophonist and Flautist, Sue Ferris, will be performing at The Witham, in Barnard Castle, tomorrow (Wednesday, May 27).

The musician has performed in several different groups throughout the North-East and beyond.

She will be taking to the stage as a trio act which will also feature Neil Harland, who will be playing bass, and Paul Edis.

The group will play swinging straight ahead jazz rooted in the music of the 'Great American Songbook'.

The Witham itself, which is a Grade II listed building, is marking 10 years of work to raise funds to restore the historic building.

It is now a fit-for-purpose venue and fully accessible as a modern arts venue for the 21st Century but was originally built as a memorial to Henry T.M. Witham who was a philanthropist who strived to make provision for the medical and educational needs of Barnard Castle before his death in 1844.

Tickets for the performance cost £8 and can be bought by visiting thewitham.org.uk
