Road closed after two-car collision in Yorkshire Dales
A ROAD in the Yorkshire Dales was closed for several hours on Saturday afternoon after a two-car collision.
The incident occurred at Bellerby crossroads, between Leyburn and Grinton.
Police, firefighters and an air ambulance attended the scene. Details of injuries are not yet known.
The road reopened at about 5pm after the vehicles had been removed.
The junction has been the scene of several serious accidents in recent years.
In February last year two teenagers were left in a critical condition after a two-vehicle collision.
