PEOPLE are sure to be shaken, not stirred, if they attend a James Bond-themed casino evening in aid of a North Yorkshire-based hospice.

Herriot Hospice Homecare is hoping to raise hundreds of pounds at its first 007 Casino Royale charity event at the Black Bull in Moulton near Richmond on Thursday, May 7.

The £45 ticket price includes cocktails on arrival, canapés, chocolates, along with chips to play roulette, blackjack and stud poker. Further entertainment will be provided by Harry the Saxophonist.

Prizes will be awarded for the three people who end up with the most money at the end of the evening and a prize will also be given to the best dressed couple.

Christine Robinson, fundraising manager at Herriot Hospice Homecare, said it was the first time they had held such an event.

“The Casino Royale charity evening takes place on general election night, so people can come and have a great time before going home to watch the results come in," she said.

“There are only 100 tickets available and demand has already been high, so people who would like to come will need to contact us as soon as possible."

Tickets can be booked via Herriot Hospice Homecare’s online shop; www.herriothh.org.uk/online_shop or by contacting Christine Robinson on 01609-777413 or email; christine.robinson@herriothh.org.uk
