PATIENTS in the Hambleton, Richmondshire and Whitby areas are being warned of a series of GP closures next week.

A number of GP practices will be closed between 12.30pm and 6.30pm on Thursday, April 30 for staff training.

Cover has been arranged for patients who require urgent medical attention during those hours, which can be accessed by calling NHS 111. They will provide appropriate healthcare advice and be able to direct patients to the most appropriate service for their needs.

The practices that will be closed are: Catterick Village Health Centre; Glebe House, Bedale; Mayford House, Northallerton; Leyburn; Thirsk Health Centre; Harewood Practice, Catterick Garrison; the Surgery, Scorton; Central Dales, Hawes and Aysgarth; Mowbray House, Northallerton; Hutton Rudby; Friary Surgery, Richmond; Topcliffe Surgery; the Health Centre Stokesley; Lambert Medical Centre, Thirsk; Quaker's Lane Surgery, Richmond; Sleights and Sandsend and the Whitby Group Practice.
