A DOG from Darlington is entering the homes of millions of people across the country after bagging a starring role in a television advertising campaign.
Miska the Doberman is starring in Pets at Home’s campaign, My Pet Moments, after the retailer launched a search for appealing real life footage of pets.
Bill Blackburn, Miska’s owner entered a short video showing the Doberman welcoming him home by leaping into his arms full of excitement and giving him a hug.
The footage ensured that Miska was chosen from thousands of entries to appear in the advert.
Mr Blackburn said: “We re-homed Miska when he was one-and-half-years-old and ever since then his greetings home have been so heart-warming; he is always so happy to see us and we are always so happy to see him.
“We were amazed when we heard Miska was going to be on TV but we think it must be because of the level of love and excitement that he shows.”
The campaign focuses on Pets at Home’s services including the Groom Room and Vets4Pets.
Scott Jefferson, marketing director at Pets at Home, said: “My Pet Moments has been created by us and our customers to celebrate the unique relationship UK pet owners have with their pets.”
