WINGER Darren Smith thinks Motherwell can put on a show in tonight's game against Hibernian.

Well have already qualified for the Uefa Cup by finishing third, coming back to draw with Rangers last weekend to prove their motivation levels are still high.

And Smith believes their self-respect as footballers will not allow them to let standards slip at Easter Road.

"We have professional pride," the 20-year-old said. "We want to win as many games as possible and want to give the fans and ourselves a big lift at the end of the season by going out with a victory.

"It is the last game of the season and we want to put on a show. Hibs will be the same as it is their last home game."

The game has been overshadowed this week by rumours linking boss Mark McGhee with an imminent move to Hearts, who have been seeking a new manager since January.

McGhee confirmed there is interest in him from other clubs, but said he had no concrete offers on the table.

Well chairman John Boyle dismissed suggestions McGhee was set to move. "I had dinner with Mark and, if he's leaving, he never mentioned it to me," Boyle said. "Hearts have made no approach and I'm confident of keeping Mark for next season."
