EMERGENCY crews came to the aid of a woman who collapsed while out running with friends.
The woman was running in Guisborough Forest on Sunday evening when she started to feel unwell and then collapsed.
Members of Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team (CMRT) were called by the North East Ambulance Service at about 6pm.
The team arrived to find the woman had already been treated by paramedics.
Volunteers transported the lady and ambulance crew 800m through the forest in the back of one of their Land Rovers to the waiting ambulance.
A spokesman for the rescue team said: "This was a speedy response by all involved with the team standing down after just 39 minutes.
"There were 12 team members involved in the rescue and the two ambulance staff were also CMRT team members so the evacuation of the casualty was made very quickly."
The condition of the woman is not known.
