KIND-HEARTED travel agents who have co-ordinated charity appeals for more than a decade are collecting again to ensure a Happy Easter for all.

Independent travel agents Lindy Kell and Natalie Bell are collecting Easter eggs in the run up to April 5 and are calling on Darlington residents to donate.

The eggs will be shared between Darlington children’s services, the women’s refuge, Darlington Memorial Hospital children’s ward and St Teresa’s Hospice.

Ms Kell said the pair decided to continue their charity collections after receiving such a positive response to their last Christmas toy appeal.

She said: “We used to work in the shop and we’d run the collections from there, but now we work from home we wondered if it would still work.

“We ran the Christmas toy appeal to see what would happen and it was just amazing, a lot more people and small companies got involved and said they wanted to do it again.

“People are so generous, and especially when it’s for St Teresa’s because that is close to a lot of people.”

Eggs can be dropped off during business hours at Paul David hairdressers on Duke Street, First Step 2 Fitness on Victoria Road, Hewsons butchers on North Road and Printwell North East on Lingfield Way.

Ms Kell and Ms Bell will also be in the Dolphin Centre on March 14 between 10am and 4pm manning an information stand and eggs can be left with them on the day.
