A MAN is being treated in hospital for blood loss after being stabbed in the buttock.
Cleveland Police officers are searching for the attacker who made off from the scene after the incident which happened on Errol Street in Middlesbrough at 10.20am this morning.
The 33-year-old victim was taken to James Cook University Hospital in the town for treatment to the wound and blood loss.
Officers cordoned off the terraced street in the town centre as the police investigation got underway.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “Cleveland Police were called to an assault on Errol Street at 10.20am this morning where a 33-year-old man had sustained a stab wound to his buttock.
“He was taken to James Cook University Hospital for treatment to the wound and blood loss.
“The suspect made off from the scene. Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.”
