THE line-up for a day-long music festival has been announced.

Scottish rockers Fatherson will headline The Storytellers stage as part of Stockton Calling and will be joined on the bill by Longfellow, Dune Rats and Foreign Fox amongst others.

Teesside promoters The Kids Are Solid Gold have booked an eclectic line up for next month's event.

The group has sold out 800 capacity venues in their home town of Glasgow, performed to thousands of fans at T in the Park and boast support from national DJ’s Greg James, Zane Lowe and Huw Stephens.

Fellow Scot’s Longfellow change it up with their melodically charged alternative pop, their latest single Medic has picked up a lot of radio coverage by the likes of XFM, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 6 Music.

All sunshine, surfboards and stage-dive, Australian band Dune Rats are punk-rock at its most infectiously high-spirited.

Starting off the day is Aaron Fyfe, a passionate heart-on-his-sleeve performer from Glasgow, while representing Teesside are Dinnernanny and McCormick.

Andy Carr, from The Kids Are Solid Gold, said: “Stockton Calling heralds the start of the festival season and a great Summer of live music. As always we have assembled an international line up showcasing established favourites and bright new acts and it promises to be a hugely exciting day for everyone."

The event takes place on Saturday, April 4 with performances from 1.30pm.

Tickets cost £15 in advance or £18 on the day. For further information visit www.stocktoncalling.co.uk
