A MAN has appeared in court charged with causing the death of Jordan Dowson by dangerous driving.
The talented young footballer died in a collision that took place on Friday, February 7 last year on the A174 Loftus bypass at around 5pm.
The 19-year-old, who was a passenger in a Vauxhall Corsa, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Today (Friday, February 27), Josh Graham Butters appeared before Teesside Magistrates Court for a brief hearing.
The 20-year-old, of Atholl Grove, Redcar, did not enter a plea and will appear before Teesside Crown Court on Friday, March 13.
