A CELEBRITY hairdresser has shown stylists in the region how to be a cut above the rest.

Award-winning hairdresser, Lee Stafford, showed the latest trends and cutting techniques to staff and stylists from Contemporary Salons when he visited the region this week.

Mr Stafford visited the company’s Middlesbrough salon, at Middlesbrough Leisure Park, before hosting a seminar-style event at The Hub, at Teesside University.

The 48-year-old has appeared on countless television shows, including Britain’s Next Top Model, This Morning, Secret Millionaire and Celebrity Scissorhands, where he trained Celebrities to cut hair for Children in Need.

He has also been named celebrity hairdresser of the year and most influential hairdresser of the year, voted by the National Hairdressing Federation.

Alan Simpson, managing director of Contemporary Salons, said: “What an amazing and inspirational day we have had with Lee Stafford.

“It was fantastic to have the opportunity for the Contemporary team to work exclusively with Lee Stafford.”

Contemporary Salons have nine businesses across the region, including Darlington, Middlesbrough, Stockton, Stokesley and Yarm, as well as a head office in Marton Road Middlesbrough.
