Recent cases at Northallerton Magistrates’ Court include:

Dale Antony Burn, 22, of Crosby Road, Northallerton, admitted to being in possession of cannabis and amphetamine, and for failing to attend Northallerton Police Station after being released on bail. He was fined £100 with a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Abigail Alice Watts, 21, of Wensley Station, Leyburn, admitted to driving while under the influence of alcohol. She was fined £110, with a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Kelly-Ann Gowland, 19, of Iddison Drive, Bedale, was found guilty of assaulting Donna Marie Griffiths by beating her. She was given a 12-month conditional discharge, and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £200 costs.

John Mingay, 58, of Hutton Sessay, Thirsk, admitted to driving without insurance, MOT, and with insufficient tread on his tyres. He was fined £505, with a £50 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Vicky Ann Johnson, 36, of Grange Close, Dishforth, was proven guilty in her absence of speeding. She was fined £300 with a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Her licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

Michael Scawthorn, 63, of Hutton Conyers, Ripon, admitted to driving without due care and attention. He was fined £215, with a £21 victim surcharge and £85 costs. His licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

Roy Graeme Webber, 37, of Pembury Mews, Brompton-on-Swale, admitted to driving without insurance. He was fined £195, with a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. His licence was endorsed with six points.

John Paul Gibson, 41, of Valley Road, Northallerton, was found guilty of stealing diesel fuel. He was ordered to carry out unpaid work, with a £60 victim surcharge and £600 costs.
