POLICE are appealing for information after a number of cars were broken into last week.
The incidents happened in the Clairville area of Middlesbrough on the evenings of Wednesday, February 11 and Thursday12.
On Wednesday thieves smashed windows of a Peugeot parked on Marton Road, a Ford Fusion parked on Beechwood Avenue, and a Skoda Octavia parked on Hutton Road. Electrical items and a wallet were stolen from the cars.
The following evening, thieves smashed windows on a Skoda Octavia parked on Holyrood Court, a Vauxhall Vivaro parked on Askham Close, and a Skoda Rapid parked on Marton Road. Again electrical items were stolen from one of the cars and searches made of the others but nothing stolen.
Detective Constable Rob Sedlatschek said : “We would always advise drivers not to leave any items on display and try to remove all valuables from the car when leaving it parked."
