A CHARITY music event featuring the pupils of a singing teacher raised almost £3,000 for two charities.
Teacher Viveca Bradshaw has hosted the event at The Forum, in Darlington, for six years and has now raised £18,000 for charities including the Teenage Cancer Trust, the Children's Liver Foundation and Age UK.
This year's show, called Thank You for the Music, saw singers of all ages perform for almost ten hours to a crowd of family and friends.
The £2,700 raised will be shared between the RSPCA and the Red Balloon Children's Charity.
Miss Bradshaw, who has taught singing for ten years, said: "I am immensely proud of all my talented students and as always the event was a wonderful success and I thank all those who contributed to the raffle and auction."
