THE MILITARY WAGS Choir Catterick will be raising the rafters at the Georgian Theatre Royal, Richmond, on Saturday, November 15 at 7.30pm.

The 50-plus member choir has also been a fundraising and welfare success, with weekly rehearsals providing an opportunity for wives, girlfriends and service women to come together, support each other and have fun.

At the Richmond concert, the WAGS will perform a full repertoire of popular feel-good numbers, songs from the shows and highlights from their recent album Harmonies for Heroes.

In the second half of the programme, they will be supported by students from Richmond School, who will showcase short drama pieces acknowledging the recent Festival of Remembrance and the centenary of WWI.

Musical director Carol Gedye said: “This concert promises to be a fantastic evening that will be essentially uplifting yet also thoughtful and reflective. We hope that as many people as possible will join us at this wonderful venue.”

Tickets cost £6 to £15 and are available from the box office on 01748-825252 or www.georgiantheatreroyal.co.uk.
