DARLINGTON shoppers on the hunt for Christmas gifts can enjoy festive bargains with a book of deals and discounts.

The Little Book of Offers is on offer at businesses across the town centre from tomorrow (November 1) and includes 28 money saving deals.

National chains like McDonald’s and The Body Shop are taking part, as well as independent traders, including Robin Finnegan Jewellers, in Post House Wynd who are offering 20 per cent off all jewellery repairs, and Emelia’s children's wear shop, in Bondgate, which is offering a £5 discount to shoppers who spend £35.

The books are produced quarterly by the town centre’s business improvement district, Distinct Darlington, with the last edition generating more than £38,500 for 28 traders who took part.

Alex Hirst, manager of Distinct Darlington, said: “The Little Books have been a quantifiable success.

“That has encouraged shops, which took part last time, to want to take part again and inspired first timers to get involved and see the benefits the little book can bring to their business.

“This latest edition has something for everyone, from present hunters in search of a bargain, to those looking for a pre–Christmas treat or to celebrate the season for less with friends and family.”

The book is available from the box office in the Cornmill Centre, and Dolphin Centre reception, as well as participating businesses.
