POLICE are asking members of the public to look out for a teenage girl who has gone missing from her home.
Kiera Meldrum, 15, was reported missing from the Humberside area on October 20 and is believed to be in the York area.
She is described as around 5ft tall, with long, brown hair and hazel coloured eyes.
She has made contact with her family via text messages but officers are concerned for her safety because of her age and the length of time she has been missing.
Inspector Ed Noble said: “I would like to make a direct appeal to Kiera to make contact and return home.
“Kiera, you are not in any trouble at all, but people are very worried about you. Please get in touch with the police and let us know where you are.
“I am also appealing to anyone who knows where Kiera could be, to contact us without delay.”
Contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option one and pass information to the force control room.
