A BEST-SELLING crime author will visit the region next week.
Dubbed the queen of crime drama, Martina Cole is best known for her work writing about gangland London in novels including The Take and Dangerous Lady.
In a bid to promote her latest novel, The Good Life, she will host a book-signing session at Darlington’s WH Smith on Thursday, October 9.
Taking place from 12.30pm, the event will allow fans to meet the Essex-born writer and purchase a signed copy of the novel.
WH Smith’s store manager Dean Swinden advised fans to arrive early and said: “We’re thrilled to be welcoming acclaimed crime author Martina Cole to our Darlington store.
“It’s a real coup and is sure to be a must-attend event for fans of the genre.”
The Good Life can be purchased from WH Smith in the Cornmill Centre on the day but fans with pre-purchased copies must present receipts in order to have them signed.
