VOTING for the revitalised Darlington in Bloom competition will continue this week with the addition of a new voting booth for those without internet access.
Following the cancellation of the annual floral event due to lack of entries, Darlington Borough Council organised a one-off online version on its Facebook page to keep the competition alive.
The online version has proved a great success with a number of entries and more than 1,700 votes based on the number of ‘likes’ received by each garden.
To ensure everyone in town can take part, particularly those without access to Facebook or the internet, a voting booth showing the different gardens entered to the competition has been set up in Darlington’s Crown Street Library.
Voting is open both online and in the library until Wednesday, September 10, with the winners of each of the five categories announced on Monday, September 15.
