A POPULAR theatrical festival is returning to the region later this year.
The Jabberwocky Market will be held in Darlington for the third time between Thursday, October 2 and Sunday, October 5.
Backed by the world-famous Battersea Arts Centre, the festival aims to make theatre accessible and enjoyable for people of all ages and backgrounds.
It sees theatre workshops and performances from artists and musicians in venues across the town.
It will also feature a discussion on how social conflict affects the development of theatre, chaired by the director of the town’s popular Festival of Thrift, Stella Hall.
A festival hub will be open at the town’s Covered Market from Thursday, September 18 and will host events and performances leading up to the start of the festival.
