LOCAL golfers Roger Roper and John Harrison will be among the early golfers to tee off when the second round of the English Senior Open gets underway on Saturday.

Roper and Harrison, from Rockliffe Hall and Matfen Hall respectively, are out at 8:10am alongside Carl Mason, who spent day one with Sam Torrance.

Former Ryder Cup player Torrance will be out at 8.40 while 1992 US Masters champion Ian Woosnam is off at 9:10am.

Eaglscliffe's Graeme Bell was rewarded for a solid level par opening round with a three-ball including reigning English Senior Open champion Steen Tinning. They tee off at 10:20am.

Overnight leader Jamie Spence will be in the final group to tee off at 12:10 alongside American Gary Rusnak and Zimbabwean Tony Johnstone.
