A BOY, 15, has been arrested in connection with a knifepoint robbery at a Sainsbury’s in Redcar.

No one was hurt in the incident but staff were left shaken after a male brandishing a knife entered the store on Larkswood Road at about 6.40am on Thursday morning. It was believed a second male was also involved.

The teenager is in police custody this evening (Friday) and Cleveland Police officers are continuing to appeal for information on the non-emergency number 101.
