AN EVENING or champagne, big hats and stylish dresses will bring extra glamour to a North-East racecourse next week.
The Roflow Ladies Evening, at Sedgefield Racecourse in County Durham, has become one of the highlights of the racing calendar and this year’s festivities looks set to be the best to date.
The event, on Tuesday, August 26, also raises thousands of pounds for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
Guests can look forward to live music, seven horse races, good bags and hair demonstrations courtesy of Be Premiere Hair in Darlington, a best dressed competition and a fashion show featuring the Miss Durham finalists.
Jill Williamson, executive director of Sedgefield Racecourse, said “Ladies evening is proving yet again to be a popular regional event and I am extremely grateful to all of our evening’s sponsors and supporters for helping to make this event even more memorable than last year’s.
“Roflow Environmental Engineering Company is also providing raffle and auctions prize in order to continue fund raising for the Great North Air Ambulance. I wish them luck in exceeding last year’s phenomenal amount of £15,000.”
Tickets start from £13, with Champagne packages still available from £24.
