A NEW children’s soft play venue due to open in Darlington next month has launched a competition to find a youngster to cut the ribbon.

Magic and Mayhem Soft Play will officially open for business on September 20 in the former Majestic cinema building on Bondgate after months of refurbishment.

The venue has launched a competition seeking a child to cut the ribbon to unveil the facility at a special open day attended by a multitude of characters from Buzz Lightyear to Spiderman.

To enter, children must submit a picture of what they think the venue’s monkey mascots Magic and Mayhem got up to in the summer holidays.

Entry is for children aged up to eleven and the competition closes on September 5.

More information can be found on the Magic and Mayhem facebook page.
