A MOTORCYCLIST was killed when his machine collided with a Range Rover near the North Yorkshire coast.
Stuart John Green was riding his silver Yamaha on the A171 between Whitby and Scarborough when the smash happened at around 8.20pm on Friday, August 15.
His bike collided with the black Range Rover at the junction with Gowland Lane, near Scarborough. Both vehicles were travelling south at the time.
Mr Green was riding with two other motorcyclists when the crash happened. A 26-year-old, from Staxton near Scarborough, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Range Rover was driven by a 38-year-old man from the Scarborough area who was uninjured.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and to anyone who saw either the Range Rover or the three motorcyclists travelling along the A171 prior to the crash, to contact them.
