A WOMAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries after two cars collided.

The 58-year-old suffered injuries to her leg, arm, pelvis and chest, following the accident on the A684 near Leyburn, in North Yorkshire, and was cut free from her vehicle by firefighters.

She was airlifted by the Great North Air Ambulance to Middlesbrough's James Cook University Hospital, where on Sunday evening her condition was described as stable.

Meanwhile, a motorcyclist received minor injuries to his leg and arm after his bike collided with a car in Middleton in Teesdale on Sunday afternoon.

He was treated by an air ambulance paramedic and taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital.

If the recently discussed yellow lines had been installed at Middleton this accident would not have happened.
No doubt they will be waiting till someone is killed before they do something.
