CONSTRUCTION is almost complete on a new boutique hotel and restaurant which is due to open in October.
The Coach House at Middleton Lodge, Middleton Tyas, near Richmond, has been restored with £2m investment into the 2,000sq ft restaurant and nine-bedroom hotel, with a contemporary design being used to convert the estate's Georgian stables.
James Allison, owner of Middleton Lodge, said: “Visitors will have the chance to dine in the beautiful restaurant or have a choice of private dining rooms that will accommodate up to 80 people comfortably."
Head chef Gareth Rayner said: “I am committed to using only the best produce, chosen to complement the seasons and from the best local producers to ensure I give our diners the very best of flavours.
“I am so excited to get started; I have so many plans to make sure it’s the best I can create every day, which will entail redeveloping menus not just in my first few weeks, but on a daily basis.
“The seasonal menu will be ever changing, plus we’ll have a daily market menu showcasing a variety of strong rustic flavours, but with the finesse that diners enjoy today.”
The Coach House at Middleton Lodge is now taking dining and room bookings, available from Friday, October 3. To book visit www.middletonlodge.co.uk/coach-house-hotel.
